Chris Banning

President

Chris Banning is a Service Disabled Veteran who served in the United States Air Force. Chris brings over 16 years of Information Technology and Voice Communications experience as an Electrical Supervisor at a major United States Air Force Base and also served as a Telecommunication Instructor for Tulsa Technology in Fiber Optics and Copper Cabling. Chris has a Bachelor of Science, Business Management and an Associate of Electrical Systems degree from the Community College of the Air Force. Brian Treat, RCDD

Executive Vice President

Brian brings more than 28 years of experience in the low voltage and electrical industry. He is experienced in all facets of operations, including business planning, budgeting, financials, process analysis and improvement, people development, contract and risk management, construction operations and management, project planning and management, design, estimating, and purchasing. As Executive Vice President of BanningCS, Brian is responsible for overseeing the daily management of the company and ensuring our strategic success. Brian is a member of BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International) and obtained his RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) in April of 2000. Brian’s experience includes design build, design assist, as well as public bid for private and public sector work, MILCON, USACE, and healthcare, including the VA in most vertical market segments. He is an active member of Immanuel Lutheran church in Broken Arrow, OK, and a member of the choir.

Ron Severo

Principal

Ron Severo currently serves as a Principal and business mentor for Banning Contracting Services. He is a successful entrepreneur with over 33 years of experience in IT consulting, working in various marketing including banking, healthcare, manufacturing, and telecommunications. He has been recognized throughout his career for providing unparalleled cost-effective technology solutions. Ron specializes in growing businesses, and his various companies have received numerous awards, including being recognized by the Pittsburgh Technology Council as one of its Top 50 fastest growing businesses for 1999, 2000, and 2005, as well as by The Pittsburgh Business Times as one of the Top 100 fastest growing businesses for the years 2001 thru 2010. Because of this extensive business experience, Ron helps facilitate BanningCS’s rapid growth by providing leadership and insight.

Randy Holleman, RCDD

Director of Operations

Randy has successfully designed, performed, and closed various IT, Low Voltage, Fire Alarm, Wireless, Security, Maintenance and General Construction jobs since he entered the industry over seven years ago. He strives for excellence in communication with co-workers, stakeholders, customers, technicians and end users. He has closed jobs on time and under budget in several states across the country alongside the nation’s finest military/government employees and industry professionals.

Emily Ruggs, M.A.

Director of Sales and Marketing / Proposal Manager

Emily is a communications specialist with experience in business development, proposal management, public relations, strategic planning, research, and business operations. She is passionate about working with clients to ensure complete customer satisfaction. Emily graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Public Relations from the University of Oklahoma and a Master of Arts in History from the University of Tulsa. She is a result-driven team player, and she finds great satisfaction in seeing a project through to completion.

Will Webb

Network Engineer / Project Manager

Will is a highly experienced Network Engineer and Project Manager. He holds a four-year degree from Oklahoma State University, as well as an MBA from Oklahoma City University. He has over 22 years of IT experience and more than 26 years of supervisory experience. His current project responsibilities with Banning include project management and project estimating, as well as network management, software development, and database administration. In addition to his professional civilian career, Will has also dedicated many years of service in both the United States Army and Army National Guard (Oklahoma and Texas).

Emil Hinkefent

IDIQ Manager / Project Manager

Emil is a management professional who has been involved in the Information Technology Industry since 2007. A majority of his career has been focused on management and support of enterprise wide end-users and I.T. infrastructure. Since 2016, he has shifted focus to low-voltage systems, working as a technician in the field before moving to a Sales and Estimation role. He currently holds his Oklahoma Commercial Fire, Burglar, Access Control, and CCTV licenses. He also possesses an Associate’s Degree in Business Marketing from Tulsa Community College and recently enrolled in project management classes to help BanningCS grow as a team. Emil has played a key role in large scale software deployments and hardware roll-outs and has personally estimated multiple multimillion dollar projects. As IDIQ Manager, Emil oversees multiple large-scale FED / SLED contracts across the United States.

Asa Barrett

Installation Manager

Asa Barrett is a Purple Heart Medal and Army Commendation Medal (ARCOM) recipient, having participated in Operation: Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan while serving as a member of the Oklahoma Army National Guard. As Installation Manager at BanningCS, Asa provides leadership, planning/coordination, and logistics planning by managing the scheduling and delegation of daily duties on some of our biggest project. Further, he regularly coordinates with project stakeholders, including owners, general contractors, and all other trade contractors on the project.

John Hackleman

Sales and Estimating

John has over 22 years of experience in sales and estimating. He specializes in take-offs, project estimating, material procurement, and project management for low-voltage projects including security, cabling, access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and ESS. John holds various certifications including Vivotek Product Expert, Axis, and Arecont Vision Partner. He also has a degree in Electronic Engineering and spent four years in the United States Marines.

Michael Porter

PMP, Project Manager

Michael's diverse skill set encompasses multiple core competencies, including earned value management, ID/IQ contract execution, multiple award contracts (MAC), proposal writing, technical writing, cost estimating, SCADA systems design, resource planning, and corrective/preventive maintenance.

Joe Banning

Project Manager

Joe Banning is a Service Disabled Veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps and is a student at Pennsylvania State University, where he's a candidate for his bachelors of science in finance. Joe joined the company in 2015 and has worked in all phases of the business, including serving as an install technician, sales manager, and project manager. Joe brings over seven years of supervising and project management experience to the company and is located in Washington, D.C. where he represents the company’s northeast region.

Khanthanou “KP” Phengphongsavan

Lead Technician

KP is an experienced fiber technician and quality engineer who is dedicated to superior workmanship. KP is responsible for creating and maintaining customer relations, vendor management, and ensuring quality standards are being met. KP is also responsible for estimating LVS projects, as well as execution on a number of LVS IP-based systems including ESS, CATV planning and installation, and data cabling estimation and quality control.

Phillip Meek

Lead Technician

KP is an experienced fiber technician and quality engineer who is dedicated to superior workmanship. KP is responsible for creating and maintaining customer relations, vendor management, and ensuring quality standards are being met. KP is also responsible for estimating LVS projects, as well as execution on a number of LVS IP-based systems including ESS, CATV planning and installation, and data cabling estimation and quality control.

Phillip Meeks serves as a Lead Technician for BanningCS, experienced in the management and installation of Data, Telecommunications, Controls, Hardware, and Cabling. Phillip is responsible for leadership, planning, and coordination on many of our projects around the world and is leaned upon internally for his product knowledge and technical implementation expertise. He is adept in the installation and maintenance of nurse call systems, surveillance systems, access control, analog and IP cameras, and fire alarm systems, as well as fiber installation, termination, and testing.
